Comparison

mond vs Medisafe: tracker or pill reminder?

Medisafe is a medication manager: reminders for complicated schedules, refill and appointment reminders, family tracking, reports for your doctor and, in the US, drug interaction warnings. mond is a supplement tracker: amounts in grams or capsules, one-tap logging, a streak and a daily reminder that names what's left. If you manage prescription medicines, Medisafe is the better fit. If your routine is mostly supplements, mond is simpler.

mond isn't on the App Store yet. Its entries describe the iPhone app as built for launch. Medisafe's entries come from its App Store listing and website, linked at the end.

The short answer

Choose Medisafe if

  • you take prescription medicines, especially on complicated schedules
  • you want refill and appointment reminders
  • you help a family member with their medication and want to know when they miss a dose
  • you want drug interaction warnings (US) or a report to send your doctor
  • you use Android or Apple Watch

Choose mond if

  • your routine is mostly supplements, such as creatine, vitamin D or magnesium
  • you measure in grams, scoops, drops or milligrams and want a daily goal
  • you want one daily reminder that lists what's left, rather than one per dose
  • you want a widget, Siri and a month calendar with streaks

Supplement tracker or pill reminder: what's the difference?

A pill reminder is built around a schedule. Each medicine has doses at set times, the app reminds you about each one, and it records whether you took it. That precision matters for prescriptions, where timing can affect how a medicine works, and good pill reminders add refills, appointments and interaction checks.

A supplement tracker is built around a daily routine. For many supplement routines, the useful questions are whether today's stack is done, how much of each supplement you've had and whether you've been consistent for weeks, rather than the exact minute. So the tracker can stay lighter: one tap per supplement and one reminder that lists what's left. If something in your stack does need precise timing, follow the label or your pharmacist's advice.

Where Medisafe is stronger

Medisafe is a mature tool for medicines. Its listing and website describe reminders that handle complicated dosing schedules, refill and appointment reminders, measurement tracking, reports you can send to your doctor, and family tracking that tells you when a loved one misses a dose. In the US it shows drug-to-drug interaction warnings and can import medications from Health Records on iPhone.[1][2] It also runs on Apple Watch and Android and comes in 16 languages.

mond does none of the medication-specific parts: no interaction warnings, no refills, no caregiver features and no doctor reports.

Where mond is different

mond treats supplements as a daily routine rather than a set of timed doses. Each supplement has an amount in grams, milligrams, pills, capsules or drops and a daily goal, so a scoop of creatine shows today's progress instead of a single checkbox. Logging takes one tap from the app, the Home Screen widget, a Lock Screen or Control Center button on iOS 18 and later, or Siri. One reminder lists what's left, and the month calendar shows your streak.

Medisafe's official pages focus on medications and measurements and don't describe supplement-specific features, so we can't say how well it handles a powder measured in grams. If that matters to you, try it before you decide.

Can you use both?

Yes. Some people keep prescriptions in a pill reminder and supplements in a tracker. If you do, remember that an interaction check can only see what's entered in that app, so tell your pharmacist about everything you take, supplements included.

Questions

Can Medisafe track supplements?

Medisafe's official pages describe medications and measurements, not supplement-specific tools. We couldn't confirm how it handles things like powders measured in grams. Check the app if supplements are your main use.

Is Medisafe free?

Its App Store listing says it's free with in-app purchases, and its website offers it free. We didn't verify the prices of its paid features.

Does mond warn about interactions?

No. mond doesn't check interactions between supplements and medicines. Ask a pharmacist, and bring a list of everything you take to appointments.

When can I try mond?

mond is coming soon to the App Store. Join the waitlist to hear the day it's out, or use the web version now.
