Comparison
Supplement tracking apps, compared.
People track vitamins and supplements with three kinds of apps: supplement trackers, pill reminders and nutrition trackers. Here's what six of them do, where each one is strongest, and when mond is or isn't the right pick.
We make mond, and it isn't on the App Store yet. Its entries describe the iPhone app as built for launch, and the web version that works today. Every fact about the other apps comes from their official website, help pages or App Store listing, linked below.
The short answer
If you mainly want to know whether you've taken today's supplements, a simple tracker is enough: the Medications feature in Apple's Health app works today, and mond is built for exactly this and coming soon. If you want to research products, scan labels or rate brands, SuppCo is built for that. If you also manage prescription medicines, a pill reminder such as Medisafe or MyTherapy adds refill reminders and more. If you want your total nutrient intake from food and supplements, use a nutrition tracker such as Cronometer.
